If you want to have a taste of what it's like to own a professional coffee grinder, then this is the one to go for. With 65 mm flat burrs, this version of the Atom is capable of productivity of up to 3.7 grams per second and a power output of 510 Watt. The burrs are the same that you will find in the Zenith, the more commercial-focused coffee grinder in the Eureka line-up. Despite the size, you will find Eureka’s latest technologies inside. To begin with, there is the ACE system or Anti-Clumping Electrostaticity, also known most simply as the anti-clump system. By eliminating the electric charge in the ground coffee the system avoids the formation of clumps and leaves your kitchen cleaner. You also get the well known Eureka Patented micrometric adjustment that allows you to cover basically any coffee techniques while remaining extremely precise. Unlike the more professional coffee grinders like the Olympus 75 E or the Helios, this coffee grinder is shorter and narrower making it the ideal choice if space is limited. The regulation of the doses is straightforward thanks to the use of simple +/- buttons to select the timing for single and double doses. Press the * button in the middle and you will enter a manual mode for personalized coffee shots. Another feature worth mentioning is the anti-vibration system called Silent Technology. It drastically reduces the noise of the motor and makes this coffee grinder up to 20 dB quieter than conventional coffee grinders. This is very good if you have an apartment with thin walls or if you are talking to someone while preparing your coffee.
Pros
Performance: it's fitted with all the technology and the burrs from a professional coffee grinder while being practical and compact for a more home barista set up.
Good Value for your money: considering it uses the same features present in the more commercial coffee grinders, this is priced at a relatively low price.
The Silence: like other Eureka models, even the Atom Specialty 65 is fitted with the Silent Technology, which we highly praise for making the coffee grinder significantly quieter than conventional ones. You won't believe it until you hear it.
Things to Consider
Blow-up needed: for near-zero retention of ground coffee for each grind, Eureka’s blow-up system is a must. This system is as simple as effective.
Adjust while grinding: in order to avoid coffee beans blocking the ground chamber, we recommend to always adjust the grind settings when the burrs are working.
