Profitec Pro 500 Espresso Machine

The Pro 500 does not only look good with a clean and simple design, but it has fitted impressive technical features like the 2 L heat exchanger boiler machine with PID control and a top-class Profitec-e61 group. The heat exchanger allows brewing and steaming at the same time and thanks to the extremely precise PID hidden between the drip tray, you will be able to control the temperatures for your espresso. The custom-E61 group fitted in the Pro 500 has a 1-second pre-infusion time in order to improve the extraction of the coffee shot. 

Another innovation that Profitec has made available for this machine is the optional Profitec E61 flow control device. Thanks to a stainless steel needle valve you can vary the amount of water flowing through the group. The flow control valve, with the group, mounted pressure gauge, allows pressure profiling during pre-infusion and during the espresso extraction, a feature commonly seen in significant more expensive coffee machines.  

Some other small details make this machine extremely user-friendly too. The cup tray on top, for example, is completely removable in order to fill up the tank without the need to remove the cups on top. Also, steam and hot water wands are anti-burn meaning that you will be able to operate them without the risk of getting burned.

PID: the PID is well hidden between the drip tray, but believe us, you will want to use it since it allows extremely precise temperature settings and it manages to keep one of the most impressive temperature stability of its class. 

Things to consider

Careful with the Chrome: being entirely covered in chrome panels, it will be very easy to notice scratches in the stainless steel. To avoid that we always recommend cleaning the coffee machine with a micro-fiber cloth.
