Rocket R58 + Eureka Mignon Libra Bundle
The Rocket R58 “Cinquantotto” is the most popular dual boiler coffee machine sold by Rocket. The secret for its success is simple: high quality, incredible looks and packed with the latest technology. Now on its 3rd generation, this coffee machine has a totally re designed PID with multiple functions.
Now at its second generation, the R “Cinquantotto” shows a facelifted body that continues the design philosophy of the previous generation. The main visual change with this new machine comes with the new feet, much more linear in the design compared to the previous ones. Another new feature is a multi-function PAD (that’s how they call it at Rocket). Just like the previous one, this new PID is not integrated into the coffee machine like in other models of its class which we appreciate since you can still choose whether to have it plugged in or not. Rocket told us that they kept this option in order to give the possibility to the owner to make use of the functionalities when needed but to also enjoy the simplicity of the design when the PAD is not needed.
Unlike the previous PID, the new one features a new USB connection instead of the outdated DVI-D and a high-resolution touch screen. Through the new highly intuitive menu you can change the temperature of both boilers, set the timer for turn on/shut down any day of the week, and turn off either one of the boilers.
The adjustable feet seen in the previous generation have been substituted by new and more angular feet which we believe are very original and fit perfectly with the machine’s design. Inside its business as usual: one 0.58 L brew boiler and one 1.8 L steam boiler. Feeding the boilers is an extremely quiet Rotatory pump with the option to connect the machine directly to the waterline.
Pros
The PAD: the PID is extremely intuitive and the touch screen is as user friendly as the latest generation smartphones. We find particularly useful the option to program the wake up/shut down of the coffee machine each day of the week and the easy setting of the temperature for each of the two boilers. The new USB is also very practical since, unlike the previous generation, you can unplug it both when the machine is on or off.
New Feet: we are aware that there are mixed opinions on the new design of the fee out there, however, we absolutely love them. They seem to adapt perfectly to the clean design of the R “Cinquantotto”.

What happens when you take Eureka's most popular coffee grinder and give it a grind-by-weight technology? The Eureka Mignon Libra is the first-ever Mignon grinder featuring their exclusive grind-by-weight technology. This brand new coffee grinder is set to change the rules in the world of domestic coffee grinders thanks to this exciting new technology.
Eureka Mignon libra does not come with the dosing funnel by default. A dosing funnel can be purchased separately.
Dosing funnels that will work for sure with Libra are ECM and Rocket.
So, why should you get one? Well, the answer is simple: consistency. When you work with time rather than weight, there is the grind setting that varies depending on how fine or coarse the coffee will be. Grind on a coarse setting for a fixed amount of time and you can expect more coffee to be ground compared to a finer setting. With the GBW technology, such a variable is completely eliminated since the quantity of ground coffee will be exactly what you program in the settings. The Libra's scale will weigh the portafilter (tare) first and then the ground coffee until it reaches the number of grams set by the user. Small adjustments toward the end of the ground process are normal since they allow the coffee grinder to be very precise and deliver the exact quantity of coffee you want.
Aesthetically, the Libra looks just like a normal Eureka Mignon Specialita'. If you look closely, you will notice that is slightly taller compared to a standard Specialita' due to the scale fitted underneath the fork. The touch screen is the same as the standard model, with the only difference being that the digits represent the grams instead of the seconds. This means you are able to program single and double doses as well as manual dosing.
